This one-day program will focus on the challenges of investigating and prosecuting stalking cases. It will provide a basic overview of stalking, focusing on defining stalking, identifying stalker behaviors, and recognizing the prevalence and dynamics of this often-misunderstood crime. We will discuss technology used to stalk and the difficulties of detecting and documenting certain behaviors. We will discuss various challenging scenarios to include the exploitation of vulnerable populations and stalking on campuses.

Hotel rooms will be provided to attendees traveling from outside of Maricopa County who request a room when registering. Attendees traveling from outside of Maricopa County are eligible for reimbursement of meals not provided by APAAC at State Government per diem rates and mileage at 44.5 cents per mile.
