This 3-day conference is specifically for forensic interviewers and prosecutors. Build on the curriculum from the Zero Abuse Project, and taught by experienced Arizona forensic interviewers and trial prosecutors, this interactive training will focus on the following topics:
 
  • Assessing Children’s Statements for Investigative Court Purposes
  • Child Abuse Interviews: An Overview
  • Current Research and Implications for Forensic Interviewers
  • Testifying in Court: Lay and Expert Testimony from Forensic Interviewers
  • When the Smoke Clears: Cross Examining the Defense Expert’s Attack on a Forensic Interview
  • When the Child Stands Alone: The Search for Corroborating Evidence
 
This training brings a unique opportunity for forensic interviewers and prosecutors to learn together. Forensic interviewers do NOT need to be members of APAAC to attend. Register early as seating is limited!
 
 
Hotel rooms will be provided to attendees traveling from outside of Maricopa County who request a room when registering. Attendees traveling from outside of Maricopa County are eligible for reimbursement of meals not provided by APAAC at State Government per diem rates and mileage at 44.5 cents per mile.
