This two-day workshop will enable experienced felony domestic violence and sexual assault prosecutors to explore trial advocacy with a specific focus on opening statements. The curriculum, led by Kathryn Kellner of the Human Communication Studio, will utilize communication pedagogy to understand how our voice, breath, and body impact case presentation.
This intensive workshop is designed for prosecutors ready to elevate their presentation and trial delivery skills to new heights. Participants will be actively engaged, spending much of the workshop on their feet, practicing and refining their techniques. The workshop focus will be on providing immediate, actionable feedback to help attendees improve their performance in real-time. Participants will learn how to captivate the jury, project confidence, and deliver their message with greater impact and persuasiveness. Workshops will focus on how to create your most powerful opening statement, how to define the boundaries of your case effectively through motion practice, and how to use technology to keep your trial visually interesting.
