This is an interactive training for dedicated forensic interviewers, detectives who conduct forensic interviews, and prosecutors who utilize the testimony of forensic interviewers in trial. Over the course of three days, you will learn about foundational and current research in the field of forensic interviewing, how to prepare for a defense interview, how to prepare for court testimony, and what to expect from the courtroom experience. Course attendees will also engage in practice activities to reinforce the training topics. Interviewers and prosecutors alike will receive practical information and tips to feel more confident in court presentation and testimony.

Hotel rooms will be provided to attendees traveling from outside of Maricopa County who request a room when registering. Attendees from APAAC Member Offices who are traveling from outside of Maricopa County are eligible for reimbursement of meals not provided by APAAC at State Government per diem rates and mileage at 67 cents per mile.
